If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide, please reach out to one of the services on this page. They are free, confidential and staffed by trained people who want to help.
You do not need to be in immediate danger to call. If something feels wrong, that is reason enough.
Urgent mental health lines
You can reach a health professional without an appointment and without a referral. Each nation has its own line.
Call and select the mental health option to speak to a trained mental health professional.
Northern Ireland's crisis response helpline, answered by a trained counsellor.
Suicide prevention lines
These lines are for anyone affected by suicide, including worry about someone close to you. Both open in the evening.
For thoughts of suicide, losing someone to suicide or worry about someone. The helpline team are trained paid staff.
At busy times you may wait. Every call is answered if you hold.
A confidential line answered by trained volunteers. You can also call about someone close to you, and an interpreter can join the call.

Children and young people
Confidential support on anything at all. You can call at any hour, or chat online with a counsellor.
Calls will not show on the phone bill.
